Tvrdoň Author-Workplace-Name: Czech University of Agriculture, Prague, Czech Republic Title: Conception of the model of agriculture with production and non-production function Abstract: The article deals with an optimisation of the relation between production and non-production functions of agriculture. In the model, a two-product production process is presupposed, the result of which is agricultural production and a complex of other effects arising in agriculture. To obtain them, two aggregated inputs - capital and labour - are used. To maximise the summary economic result, the procedure of derivation of the optimal extent of both production processes proceeding as well as non-production effects in minimisation of both inputs in their summary is worked out in the article. In the article, the knowledge of the research gained in framework of solution of the institutional research intention MSM: 411100013 "Efficient integration of the Czech agrarian sector into the frame of the European structures - presumption of sustainable development" is included. Marišová Author-Workplace-Name: Slovak University of Agriculture, Nitra, Slovak Republic Title: Importance of ownership and lease of agricultural land in Slovakia in the pre-accession period Abstract: A vast majority of agricultural land is leased, only a few owners manage their own land. The market with agricultural land falls behind and, together with land lease, it depends on the prosperity of Slovak agriculture. In comparison with the EU countries, the prices of land and land lease in Slovakia are disproportionately low. At present, the Slovak legislation is focused on legal regulation of long-term, i.e. lasting more than ten years, leasing. However, this raises a question whether we should not rather concentrate on the support of the developing market with agricultural land instead. But the economic results of our companies confirm the existence of this problem. In the pre-reform period, agricultural production intensity was considered as a main factor of economic differentiation. Transformation of economy after 1990 changed the methodological approach to business performance evaluation. The interest was shifted towards the value evaluation comparing businesses with regard to financial indicators. These methods enable to classify enterprises into bonity classes and to set their sequence according to performance.
