The study indicates a fundamental problem: the notion of environmental sustainability in agriculture differs depending on the criterion we apply. We recognized a principle trade-off in the Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) which consists of compensating for the strain on the natural environment with production or with public goods provision. Studies on these two effects seem to be crucial to draw a consistent development path for the CAP. Our major finding is that public goods-oriented farming is more likely to expand after improving eco-efficiency. This is still a challenge because in European regions, eco-efficient has not meant environmentally sustainable yet. Abstract: In recent times, consumers and politicians from Central and Eastern Europe complain that some food products sold in their regions are of lower quality and less healthy if compared to those sold under the same brands in Western Europe. This situation, that concerns exclusively food produced and sold under even well-known multinational brands, is brought back by many food Multi-National Companies to the necessity to adapt their products to local tastes and gastronomic traditions. Many tests and studies carried out at European level prove poorer-quality products offered by Multi-National Companies to Central and Eastern Europe consumers even if with the same packaging and prices (or even more expensive) of Western countries. This is a very novel issue, and to the best of our knowledge, there is not any scientific paper yet dealing with this issue. Therefore, the aim of the study is to add new knowledge to this field and to shed light on the multiple aspects linked to dual quality food. The analysis, essentially theoretical, has pointed out that in addition to the traditional problems of market failures, there can be positive implications in terms of opportunities of competitiveness for multinational food companies. It examines households' attitudes to food waste, including the causes of food waste. The primary data were obtained via a questionnaire survey with 1 582 respondents. The analyses allowed the identification of three categories of Czech households with different attitudes to food waste and its causes. These findings provide a basis for a proper selection of corrective measures aimed at amending or even completely transforming the current behaviour. A successful decision depends on the flexibility of using decision-making styles in different situations. The research paper monitors the dependence between the decision-making style of agricultural managers and their personal and working parameters. To identify the decision-making styles, the MB-type indicator (Myers-Briggs type indicator) was used. The results of non-parametric testing give proof that there is a statistically significant dependence between the type of decision problem and decision-making style, "Intuitive" and "Sensing". Parametric test ANOVA was applied to assess potential differences in the score of decision-making style by nominal-level variables. The results gave proof of a strong statistically significant difference in score of decision-making style, "Intuitive" and "Sensing" between groups of current leading position. The difference in scoring for "Thinking" and "Feeling" as decision-making styles was confirmed to be statistically significant even in functional areas of control. Subsequently, the size of this difference was calculated. The most important parameters for the production of potatoes crops are yield, farmer's price, subsidies and costs. All these parameters can change over time. This means that managers of farms must constantly assess the key parameters affecting the economic outturn and analyse the degree of risk of their achievement. This article analyses the economic risks of potatoes cultivation based on statistical data obtained over the last 10 years. The Monte Carlo stochastic simulation method was used to analyse the risk of gross profits. The results of the calculations confirmed the considerable variability and risk of growing potatoes in the climate conditions of the Czech Republic in general, and especially regarding the first early potatoes and potatoes for starch production. Therefore, the factors from the economic, social and environmental system affecting tea production have become the focus of both academia and practice. Random forest regression (RFR) and mean impact value (MIV) were applied to evaluate the weights of variables. Firstly, RFR was preliminarily used to build a well-trained model, and then the weights of variables combining with MIV were calculated. Then, a well-trained model was constructed after variable selection to evaluate the importance of tea production from 2007 to 2016. The results revealed that the economic system and the social system are the main factors that affect tea production. The net production value and total population have little negative effects on tea production, while the area harvested has a little positive effect. Based on the research findings, governments and enterprises should develop and upgrade tea production technology, promote the exchange and cooperation in the international tea trade, then ultimately achieve sustainable development of the tea industry.
