With the arrival of COVID-19, organizations have begun to lay off employees 50+, the employee turnover has increased, the demands of employees and organizations have changed, and the scissors in the number of wages and salaries for both sexes and most positions are widening. Against the background of this recent research, the main objective of our study is to identify access of organizations to implementation of age management (precisely measures supporting employees' cooperation and knowledge transfer). Data were obtained using standardized (n = 183) and qualitative research (n = 5) implemented in the second half of 2020 in agricultural and forestry Czech organizations and were evaluated using multidimensional and descriptive statistics. The results have shown that leaders in Czech organizations, due to financial problems of organizations, employee illness, insufficiently skilled workforce, have begun to take unsystematic steps leading to the destabilization of teams, the demotivation of employees. They have stopped paying attention to sustainable human resource management (SHRM), which is necessary for sustainable business. The factors identified using a factor analysis include the group of organizations according to their behavior similarity when organizations primarily focus on HR marketing, the stabilization of the internal environment or performance management, and the acquisition of qualified employees. The results of this study are limited to the researched sample of Czech companies. They have vast potential to strengthen their position as a result of the region's opportunities to increase agricultural production when combined with growing global demand, which could help the region's economy thrive. To discover the LAC potential agricultural trade pattern, this paper aims to analyse the determinants of LAC agricultural bilateral export for the period 1995-2019. The gravity model of trade was employed by estimating various Poisson pseudo-maximum likelihood (PPML) models including zero trade flows for panel data. The findings show that importers' GDP of LAC countries has a greater impact on agricultural trade compared to LAC exporters. Cultural similarities (common language) and countries' participation in Southern Common Market [Mercado Común del Sur (MERCOSUR)] stimulated agri-food export. Conversely, distance (transportation), past colonial links, and North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) raised trade costs, having a negative impact on the export of agricultural products. The impacts of environmental regulations are ambiguous. This paper contributes to the literature by investigating the factors of agri-food export in LAC countries, which can be an important instrument for decision-makers adjusting agricultural trade policy. We also assessed the impact of changes in the variety of exports of agri-food categories on the dynamics of the volume of exports of agri-food products for these two countries and used the entropy to measure the variability of exports of agri-food products by categories. The results confirm the important role played by related variety in increasing a country's long-term exports of agri-food products and show that the high concentration of exports on a small number of categories of agri-food products that include mostly agricultural raw materials cannot ensure a sustainable increase in the export of agri-food products for Romania. In the case of Bulgaria, the related variety has a positive impact on ensuring a sustainable increase in agri-food exports. The accession to the EU was an important factor for the increase of the exported agri-food goods for Romania while in the case of Bulgaria, the accession to the EU did not mark a positive or negative shock on the volume of exports of agri-food products. A case of Romanian peasants Abstract: Agriculture has lost its importance in many parts of the world, leaving peasants in a state of uncertainty regarding their social status and identity. This article uses both quantitative and qualitative data to present the changes experienced by Romanian peasants as a result of an entire series of processes which led to the loss of their place within society. Statistical data are used to illustrate the evolution of the most relevant agriculture-related indicators over the last three decades. Qualitative data are presented in order to explain how developments in agriculture were perceived by peasants. While the changes might be irreversible, the story of the 'old' class of peasants should constitute a starting point for redesigning national policies and avoiding the disintegration of an entire social class.
