The LKT 81 T forest tractor, manufactured byZŤS TEES, Martin (Slovak Republic) and widely used in Slovakia, was specifically chosen as the mechanised vehicle to be monitored. Tensile properties were examined using standard tensile tests, with a Tatra freight vehicle serving as the load vehicle. Actual measurements were performed on a concrete surface and on soil characterised as gravelly loam whose average moisture was 38%. The statistical methods used to verify the impact of significance from changes in tyre inflation pressure on selected tensile indicators were multi-factor analysis of variance (ANOVA) and Student's t-test. Even though statistical analysis failed to directly confirm significance in the impact of changes of tyre inflation pressure on selected load indicators for a forest tractor fitted with standard tyres, positive changes can be discerned in measured dependencies. The article concludes with a discussion of the results obtained and their possible application in operational practice. The operators of this kind of machinery are exposed to high level of vibration. Long time working with these machinery causes dynamic disorders, damaging different parts of the body, digestion disorders and vascular diseases. In this research, vibration acceleration of 13hppower tiller was collected in 5 levels of engine speed and 6 kinds of consumed fuel blends investigating the power tiller vibration exposure time. The data were analyzed by factorial tests with completely random design. The results showed that reciprocal effect of fuel and engine speed are prominent in 1% level. The working conditions of the power tiller operator fall into the highest class of risk according to ISO 5349-2 (2001) and in less than 4 years White Finger Syndrome may have induced in 10% of operators. Results of experiments revealed that the exposure time decreases with increase in engine speed especially in 1,800 and 2,200 rpm. The reason is the vibration intensification that happened in handle of power tiller in 1,800 rpm engine speed so it reduced the exposure time severely. The latency period for the appearance of vibration-induced White Finger Syndrom in biodiesel 10%, 15% and 20%, respectively, so using diesel fuel can be replaced by these three kinds of fuel in power tillers. Farhani Author-Workplace-Name: Department of Mechanical Engineering, Iranian Research Organization for Science and Technology, Tehran, Iran Title: Study of fuel consumption in three tillage methods Abstract: Fuel consumption per hectare of tilled land for the conventional or maximum tillage, reduced tillage using a multi-task machine, and no-tillage using a direct drill planter has been studied and compared. Time taken and number of tractor trips needed for performing tillage operations were used for comparison. Yield of crop per hectare was also used for the study. Duncan's multiple range test was used to compare and analyse the data. Results of fuel consumption were 59.33, 29.67 and 14.33 l/ha for the max. tillage, reduced tillage, and no-tillage cases, respectively. The corresponding yield of crop for these methods were 8.07, 7.90, and 6.33 t/ha, respectively. Therefore, the reduced and no-tillage methods provide enough energy saving per ton of yield to justify their use as good replacements for the max. tillage method in Iran. Also, considering land conditions in Iran, use of direct drill planters is recommended for dry cultivated or traditionally irrigated farms, and multi-task machinery for all types of irrigation systems and land conditions. The pelletizer consists of a barreled screw auger which compresses cassava mash against perforated end plate, through which the pellets are pelletized. The result derived from the calculated design parameters (shaft diameter, tensile stress, torque, screw length, volumetric capacity mass flow rate and power rating) were used for the fabrication. The testing of the pelletizer was determined in terms of throughput of the machine, against the moisture content of the mash (18, 20 and 22% w.b.), die size (4, 6 and 8 mm) and the auger speed (90, 100 and 120 rpm). Test results showed that the pellets with the best quality attributes were obtained from cassava mash at 18% moisture content (w.b.) through the 4 mm die at 90 rpm and a maximum throughput of 54 kg/h. With regard to the physical and mechanical properties of the material forming the geomembrane, this paper proposes a method for the assessment and design of the waterproofing system. This method foresees the calculation and analysis of geomembrane stress caused by the most stressful conditions, also taking into consideration the physical characteristics of the material within the pond, the elastic and elastic-plastic behaviour of the geomembrane and the physical characteristics of the soil. Criteria and graphs for the rapid dimensioning of the waterproofing system are also proposed. In addition to the environmental and climatic characteristics of the site, the results presented also take into consideration the dimensional characteristics of the ponds and the physical properties of the olive mill wastewaters. Also reactoplastics are suitable for filling with micro- and nano-particles for a purpose of some mechanical properties optimization. The paper compares chosen mechanical properties - hardness, wear resistance and tensile characteristics of epoxy resin filled with artificial corundum with various middle particles sizes and their ratio combination. Mentioned systems can be used in a sphere of the agricultural production at renovation of machine parts, they can serve for creating resistant layers on machines, floors and grillages at the same time. The aim of the carried out experiment is to compare the properties of reactoplastics filled with a primary and secondary raw material and to define an optimum ratio of the filler particle size relating to a given mechanical quality. The artificial corundum was chosen as the primary material, the waste corundum from the process of material mechanical treatment was chosen as the secondary one. Foil Radaflex is a paper foil covered by the aluminium layer. The measurement of the oxygen permeability was realized according to the Standard STN EN 77 0333. The measurement of mechanical properties was realized according to the Standard STN EN ISO 1924-2. Determination of moduli of elasticity in the longitudinal and transversal direction were provided and tensile properties as maximal elongations, maximal tensile forces, tensile strengths, tensile indexes and strain at breaks of the longitudinal and transversal specimens were evaluated. The permeability of pure oxygen through aluminium paper foils was studied. Aluminium paper foil was not permeable for the oxygen.
